Third Public Meeting for Maine-NH Connections Study to Identify potential alternatives, future capacity
The third Public Informational Meeting for the Maine-NH Connections Study will take place on September 24 at the Kittery Trading Post on Route 1 in Kittery from 6 – 8 pm.
Previous meetings have focused on analysis of existing traffic, land use and historic and natural resource conditions in the region, but at this meeting for the first time the public will get to see what traffic conditions could look like for Portsmouth and Kittery in the future.
The public will also have the opportunity to comment on – and add to – the full range of possible alternatives the study will evaluate.
At the recent Stakeholder Committee meeting, the committee voted to accept the current draft of the study Purpose and Need Statement, which clearly outlines the needs and goals of the study. It can be viewed at www.maineNHconnections.org.
Persons or groups who want to receive updates on the study on a regular basis can contact Carol Morris by calling (207) 329-6502 or by e-mail to cmorris@morriscomm.net.
